I am an ICU doctor and a pulmonologist. I take care of patients in the hospital, both in the ICU and during their recovery afterward.
I attended Williams College and Harvard Medical School. I completed Internal Medicine Residency at Massachusetts General Hospital and then Fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine in Pittsburgh. I hold an MS in clinical research and spent nearly a decade conducting clinical and heath services research, seeking to understand the intersection of health policy and critical care delivery.
In addition to my work as an ICU doctor and investigator, I am now a clinical leader focused on creating an environment in which we can thrive as health care practitioners, providing the best and most compassionate care to those who seek our care.
I have a decade of experience in patient safety, quality improvement, clinical leadership, and physician well-being work. I provide medicolegal consulting services on a limited basis, informed by this background and my clinical expertise.
In the wake of a medical illness, I rediscovered a passion for narrative medicine, started writing again, and telling my story as a patient and physician.
